IGTAP Secret Upgrades: Hidden Locations and How to Hunt
IGTAP hides free stat upgrades in the level geometry. Here are the reported locations, the hunting routine, and what is still unconfirmed.

Secret upgrades are free permanent bonuses you find rather than buy. They sit outside the upgrade walls, usually behind a false spike block, above a course, or in the gap between two areas. The common reward is +50% global watts, and the rarer ones raise a clone tier.
What secret upgrades are worth
Two rewards show up again and again in player lists and tutorial videos:
- +50% global watts, which raises everything you earn rather than one course.
- Clone tier increases, such as +1 clone speed tier, +1 maximum clone size tier, or an 8% clone size chance.
They cost nothing, which makes them the best return per minute in the game. A single +50% global bonus can be worth more than an hour of grinding one course.
The reported locations
Two separate player lists and two separate videos describe the same set of hiding places. They were recorded during the demo, so treat them as patterns rather than a final map.
| Area | Reported hiding place |
|---|---|
| Above course one to two | A gap above the course leading to a pillar and spike section |
| Course two to three transition | Two pickups along the transition |
| Course three | Behind a slightly darker spike block that does not kill you |
| Between three and four | Above the parkour section |
| Above course four | Reachable by climbing the wall above the course |
| Course four to five | Two pickups, one needing a spike-edge jump |
| Top of course five | Behind a T-shaped object and through a spike tunnel |
Why the community list is not official
The developer confirms that hidden bonuses exist, and the store description tells you to explore for them. No official list has ever been published.
That leaves players to map the locations themselves. Steam threads share partial lists, and videos fill in the rest. The completion data shows how few people finish the job: finding one secret upgrade is a 93.7% achievement, and finding all of them is 0.5%.
The gap between those two numbers is the honest answer to “how hard is this”. Almost everyone stumbles onto one. Almost nobody collects them all.
How to hunt them systematically
- Walk the edges before you optimise. After unlocking a course, spend one pass hugging the ceiling and the walls.
- Test suspicious spike blocks. If one block looks slightly darker than its neighbours, touch it. Players report that specific blocks are walk-through fakes.
- Come back after wall jump. Several pickups sit above courses and only become reachable once you can climb.
- Learn the corner jump. The two pickups at the very top are reached by corner jumping onto blue spikes, then wall jumping.
- Check your reward number after each pickup. A global bonus raises the reward on every course, not just the one you found it on.
- Do a sweep before finishing the game. If you care about a full-clear save, check the current community answer on missable pickups first.
Whether any of them can be missed
This is genuinely unresolved. The Steam board currently carries both a thread asking whether secret upgrades can be softlocked after completion and a thread asking whether the game has missables at all. Neither has an official reply.
Until that changes, the safe habit is simple: collect what you can before you push into the endgame, and keep a separate save if you are chasing the 0.5% achievement.
