IGTAP Demo Status and the Free Browser Version
The Steam demo was delisted at launch on September 21, 2026. A free browser build is still playable, and here is what it can and cannot tell you.

There is no official IGTAP demo on Steam anymore. The developer delisted it on September 21, 2026, the same day the full game launched. A free browser build is still playable, and it is the only way to try IGTAP without paying.
What happened to the Steam demo
The demo appeared in February 2026 and grew through June. It picked up a B-side hard mode and full localisation along the way.
Then the developer announced the removal, with a clear reason: “Due to systematic changes I’ve made to the core game, demo saves sadly do not work in the full game. Because of this, I will also be de-listing the demo when IGTAP launches.”
So the demo was not pulled because it was finished. It was pulled because its save format stopped matching the finished game.
What the free browser version is
A public browser build still runs on galaxy.click. It is a Unity WebGL page, published in February 2026 and last updated in June 2026. At the time of writing it shows thousands of plays and a 4.4 rating from players.
Two limits matter before you invest time in it:
- No saving. The page says so directly: save and load only work on the Steam version.
- An older build. It predates the launch version, including the player character and physics updates announced in September.
Treat it as a free trial of the loop, not as a copy of the release.
Why demo saves did not carry over
The core systems were rebuilt between the demo and the release. The demo covered part of the course list, while the finished game added a literal upgrade tree, atoms, refresh orbs and the VMAN endgame courses.
That scale of change is why the developer could not migrate saves. The same reason explains why some players describe the release as short: the demo already contained a large share of the five base courses.
How the three ways to play compare
| Path | Available now | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Steam demo | No, delisted September 21, 2026 | Five base courses and a B-side preview; saves do not transfer |
| Free browser build | Yes | The core loop, no saving, an older build |
| Full game on Steam | Yes, $8.99 until October 6, 2026 | Five courses, B-sides, VMAN endgame, 29 achievements, cloud saves |
How to decide whether the full game is for you
- Finish two different courses in the browser build. That is enough to feel the loop.
- Test one rebind. If the default Shift dash hurts your hand, confirm the settings menu fixes it.
- Ask yourself whether you enjoy replaying a short course for a faster time. That is most of the game.
- Check the difficulty you are signing up for. Late courses and B-sides get very hard, and the community is open about that.
- Accept the saving limit. Do not build progress in the browser build and expect to move it.
How much of the demo was the full game
More than most demos, and the reviews say so. One player wrote that the demo was half the game and asked for more zones. Another spent seven hours optimising demo courses alone.
Read those complaints with the release notes next to them. The launch build adds the upgrade tree, the atom layer and the VMAN courses on top of the demo content.
